What does the interview involve and how long does it take?
We have a 2 step interview which is comprised of an oral and written interview. Our interview takes a minimum of 3 hours, depending on the child’s abilities. The purpose of the interview is to identify and bring out the strengths and the weaknesses of the interviewee. The results of the interview will help the school to determine how best to cater for the pupil. It also enables the school to gauge the potential of your child.
Is there a cost involved in attending the interview?
Interviews are conducted at no cost. The school also provides FREE lunch for all the pupils attending interviews. However, parents are also free to provide packed lunch for their children.
When can I bring my child for an interview?
You can bring your child for an interview any time, whether during the school term or during the traditional school holiday period.
What is required for the interview?
The child should be in the company of the parent / guardian
When will I receive the results?
You will receive the results the same day after completion of the interview. We will then hold a meeting with you to discuss the results. On confirmation as parent, you will be required to pay an admission Kshs 3,000 to secure your child’s place.
Once your child is admitted to Kingsmead Junior Academy, you will be required to purchase the shown uniform which is available in the school.
Parent / guardian will be required to fill in the admission form.
